Fresh Apple Cake

The Method
Step 1
Preheat over 325° F and oil/flower a bundt/tube pan.
Step 2
Combine the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon in a large bowl and set aside.
Step 3
Blend the oil and sugar
Step 4
Add the eggs one at a time, allowing them to just combine before adding the next.
Step 5
Add the flour mixture slowly allowing the contents to fully incorporate with the oil/sugar/egg mixture.
Step 6
Add the vanilla.
Step 7
Fold in the apples, raisins, and walnuts.
Step 8
Pour batter into pan and bake for 1 ½ hours.
Step 9
While the cake is baking, combine the sauce ingredients in a sauce pan.
Step 10
Over medium-high heat, bring sauce to a boil and then remove from heat.
Step 11
Dip off any foam created in the boiling process.
Step 12
Pour the sauce over the cake while the cake is still hot and in the pan.
Step 13
Allow the cake to fully cool before removing from the pan.
