Swedish Spritz Cookies

Story
A stand mixer is very useful here, especially if you try to make multiple recipes worth at once. This can be a very stiff dough and hard to mix by hand or with a smaller appliance.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup, Unsalted Butter (Softened)
- 2/3 Cup Sugar
- 1 Large Egg (Room Temperature)
- ½ tsp Almond Extract
- ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 1/4 Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- Sprinkles
- Candied Cherries

- Stand Mixer
- Cookie Sheet
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350° F.
- Combine the Flour and Baking Powder and set aside.
- Cut Candied Cherries in half and set aside for later use in decoration.
- In bowl of stand mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and flavoring, mix until well combined.
- Incorporate the dry ingredients, adding a little at a time.
- Fill the tube of a cookie press with dough and ‘press' cookies onto a cool cookie sheet.
- Decorate cookies as you see fit utilizing the sprinkles and/or cherries.
- Bake for 12 minutes and allow to cool before removing from cookie sheet.
