Story
Another one of the recipes my mother would make for the annual Christmas party. Sneaking a piece out of the fridge was a delicious little treat.
Ingredients
- 4 ½ cups Sugar
- 12 oz Evaporated Milk
- 2 sticks Unsalted Butter
- 18 oz Semisweet Chocolate
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Instructions
- Combine the sugar and evaporated milk in a pot and stir until fully dissolved.
- Heat slowly and bring to a slow boil, stirring constantly.
- Continue to stir once boiling for 8 minutes and then turn off the heat.
- Add the butter and chocolate, stir until melted and fully incorporated.
- Add the vanilla and stir.
- Pour into a lightly greased 9 x13” pan and allow to set. The fudge will end up firmer (and in my opinion better) if refrigerated.
