Story

Another one of the recipes my mother would make for the annual Christmas party. Sneaking a piece out of the fridge was a delicious little treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 ½ cups Sugar
  • 12 oz Evaporated Milk
  • 2 sticks Unsalted Butter
  • 18 oz Semisweet Chocolate
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine the sugar and evaporated milk in a pot and stir until fully dissolved.
  2. Heat slowly and bring to a slow boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Continue to stir once boiling for 8 minutes and then turn off the heat.
  4. Add the butter and chocolate, stir until melted and fully incorporated.
  5. Add the vanilla and stir.
  6. Pour into a lightly greased 9 x13” pan and allow to set. The fudge will end up firmer (and in my opinion better) if refrigerated.
