Story
You can replace the Chili Powder with BBQ Seasoning for a different flavor. I will use a sweet one with my family. You can also dust the wrapped peppers before smoking to add a little bit more flavor but I wouldn't recommend doing that with Chili Powder!
Ingredients
- 10 Jalapeno Peppers
- 10 slices Bacon
- 10 Mini Sausages (Little Smokies)
- 1 cup Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Shredded Moterey Jack
- 1 tsp Chili Powder

- Wire Rack (Optional)
Instructions
- Preheat smoker/grill to 225° F and set for indirect cooking.
- If using the wire rack, prep by lightly spraying with cooking oil.
- Cut the Jalapeno Peppers in half, lengthwise, and remove seeds and membrane. Cut the bacon slices in half, and split the Little Smokies lengthwise.
- Mix the Cream Cheese, Monterey Jack, and Chili Powder. Fill the hollowed out Jalapeno halves with the cheese mixture.
- Place the Sausage half on top of the filled Jalapeno and then wrap with bacon.
- Cook for 2 to 3 hours, until the bacon is browned. if using the wire rack, place the peppers on the rack prior to placing on the grill.
